Driver Qualifications

Must be at least 23 years of age and have a minimum of one year verifiable, over the road, multi-state experience.

No major preventable accident in the past three years (a major accident is defined as a DOT recordable accident).

No serious traffic violation, as defined by Section 383.5 including any speeding ticket of 14 mph over posted limit, reckless driving, OR a citation as a direct result of an accident with fatality in the past three years.

In the past three years, no more than:

Three Traffic Violations AND zero preventable minor preventable collisions

Two Traffic Violations AND one preventable minor preventable collision

One Traffic Violation AND two preventable minor preventable collisions

Zero Traffic Violations AND three preventable minor preventable collisions

No more than four jobs in past two years without significant work experience with one company.

Must have a valid Class A CDL issued by the state of residence. No more than one moving violation with a lane change [applicant changing lanes] or a rear-end [applicant rear-ended other vehicle] collision in the past three (3) years.

Must be able to pass a U.S. Department of Transportation physical examination as required by Section 391.41 and successfully complete a pre-employment substance abuse test as required by Section 382.301.

Must complete the company orientation class.

Must not be addicted to, use, sell, deal, or transport controlled substances of any kind.
